Halo Infinite has been delayed to 2021
Microsoft and 343 Industries are no longer releasing Halo Infinite this year. The game should have been released with the Xbox Series X, but has been delayed until next year. The studio cites, among other things, the corona crisis as the reason.
It is not known exactly when Halo Infinite will be released. On Twitter reports the head of 343 Industries that the game won’t be released until next year, without mentioning a date. The game did not have an exact release date yet, but it would release with the Xbox Series X during the holiday season this year.
In the message about the postponement, the studio says that there are several factors that complicate the development, including the corona pandemic. The criticism of the graphics of the game, after its gameplay reveal in July, 343 Industries does not mention in the statement. Earlier, the studio responded extensively to the criticism and changes were promised in a number of areas. It is plausible that this promise also has to do with the postponement.
The delay is believed to be a blow to Microsoft. Halo Infinite has been presented as the main launch title for the Xbox Series X so far. The game was shown first in the recent launch of games for the new console. Also two years ago at the announcement, Halo Infinite was already presented as a game that would appear simultaneously with the new console.
