The Mozilla Foundation has released the fifth beta release of version 4.0 of its web browser Firefox. In version 4, the appearance has been overhauled, among other things. For example, the tabs are now placed at the top and there is a Firefox button under Windows Vista and 7, as is also the case for Opera. Furthermore, there is full support for WebM, WebGL and multitouch displays, and support for html5 and css3 has been improved. New in beta 5 includes support for the recently proposed audio data API. In addition, 2d hardware acceleration is now enabled by default on Windows 7 and the appearance has been tinkered with in Windows Vista and 7.
