Battleroyale party game Fall Guys has sold two million times on Steam
The recently released battleroyale party game Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has since been sold two million times on Valves game platform Steam. The new game from developer Mediatonic is also doing very well on Twitch.
The developer has the sales number of 2 million copies announced. Mediatonic also reports that 23 million hours of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been watched on Twitch. The title ranks fourth among the games with the highest number of players, peaking at 125,000 simultaneous players. Only PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Dota 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive do even better on Steam in this area.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is also available for the PS4, but numbers don’t seem to be known yet. The title came out on August 4 and was soon the best selling title on Steam, dethroning the game Grounded. While there were server issues at the time of release, it seems that hasn’t affected the game’s popularity.
The new game from Mediatonic and publisher Devolver Digital is seen as a battleroyal party game in which up to sixty players take on the role of colorful puppets and face strange obstacles on a course against opponents and natural laws. The waste racing game can be compared to TV shows such as Wipeout and the Japanese Takeshi’s Castle.
