Download VLC Media Player 1.1.4

The developers of VideoLAN have released version 1.1.4 of VLC Media Player. This open source cross platform media player can play a variety of audio, video and streaming formats without having to install the appropriate codec. VLC Media Player is available for Windows 2000 and above, Linux, Mac OS X and BSD. Older versions are also available for Windows 9x, BeOS, Morphos, and Windows CE, among others. Since version 1.1.1 there is DxVA2 hardware acceleration in combination with ATi video cards, when using at least version 10.7 of the Catalyst drivers. In version 1.1.4, among other things, an important security problem has been fixed, which affects many Windows programs.

What’s new in 1.1.4

A bit after the 1.1.3, an important security issue was discovery in most windows applications, and VLC is affected too. Since security issues matters, here is a new release, targeted for the Windows platform!
