Pikmin 3 Deluxe will be released for Nintendo Switch on October 30th
Pikmin 3, a game released for Wii U in 2013, is making its way to Nintendo Switch this year. The game will be available on October 30 as an expanded version of the original, with co-op support as the main addition.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe offers a number of innovations, such as the option to play the entire story mode in co-op with someone else. There are also new story missions available that can also be played in co-op and all the DLC that came out for the original game is also present. To make the game a bit more accessible for new players, Nintendo has added new difficulty options, supplemented with an improved aiming system, optional hints and the choice to play the game at a slower pace.
Strategic Pikmin 3 is all about space explorers sending the tiny pikmin creatures to a planet in search of cultivable fruit to save the explorers’ home planet. Players are in control of the pikmin and must use their various abilities to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles and dangers. For example, Blue Pikmin can breathe underwater to collect items that the other pikmin cannot reach, while the Winged Pikmin is the only one who can fly over the terrain.
Nintendo has long been in the process of re-releasing certain games from the Wii U era for the Switch console. The port of Pikmin 3, which will be released at the end of October, follows previous ports of Mario Kart 8 and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Pikmin 3 Deluxe will cost 60 euros.
