Asus introduces ROG Swift monitor with 360Hz refresh rate
Asus announced a monitor with a refresh rate of 360Hz at CES. The company is working with Nvidia for this. ROG Swift 360 is specifically aimed at gamers and works with Nvidia’s G-Sync.
The companies showed the new monitor in the run-up to the CES trade show in Las Vegas. It is a full HD screen of 24.5 inches that is made by AU Optronics, although it is not known what panel it is exactly. Asus uses a tn panel for most monitors. Many other details about the monitor are also unknown, such as the screen brightness. Nvidia does say that the response time is ‘lower than 3ms’.
The monitor has support for Nvidia’s G-Sync. The company writes that the monitor is specifically aimed at gamers, especially competitive esports players. The company therefore hints that users will need at least one GeForce RTX card to use the monitor. It is not known when the monitor will be released and what it will cost. More details will follow, according to the company during the tech fair that takes place this week.
