EK makes waterblock for Gigabyte X99 motherboards
Gigabyte has announced a new line of liquid coolers for its X99 motherboards. The cooling is made by EK Water Blocks and consists of two parts. Gigabyte has not yet announced pricing and availability.
Gigabyte states that the coolers are made specifically for its X99 motherboards with lga 2011-3 socket, but the manufacturer has put a Cooling Configurator online that allows users to check whether their board qualifies. The cooling comes in multiple designs and is constructed of copper with a nickel layer, while the top is made of polyacetal or transparent acrylic.
The EK-FB Kit GA X99 is a complete kit consisting of two parts. It is part to cool the X99 chipset and one to keep the power supply at the right temperature. The advantage of the cooling of the Slovenian European Championship Water Blocks, according to Gigabyte, is that it looks nice and does its job quietly. The accessory would be easy to mount on the motherboards. Gigabyte hasn’t announced any pricing yet.
