Toshiba shows off 12″ dynaPad with keyboard and Wacom stylus
Toshiba showed the dynaPad at an event in Japan in collaboration with Microsoft. It is a 6.9mm thin 12″ tablet, equipped with an Atom processor. Toshiba supplies the device with a keyboard and Wacom stylus.
The new Windows 10 tablet from Toshiba has a 12″ IPS screen with a 3:2 ratio and a resolution of 1920×1280 pixels. Toshiba presents the dynaPad as a 2-in-1; a tablet that can also be used as a laptop Separately, the tablet weighs 569 grams, in combination with the keyboard the weight increases to 996 grams and the thickness is 14.9 mm.
Toshiba equips the dynaPad with an Atom x5-Z8300 processor, the quadcore is clocked at 1.44Ghz. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The tablet has two micro USB ports, micro HDMI and a micro SD slot. The dynaPad comes with a stylus. Toshiba uses technology from Wacom, with pressure sensitivity at 2048 different levels.
Toshiba says it will deliver the dynaPad with a complete suite of its own business applications. According to the manufacturer, these apps integrate with Microsoft Office. Among other things, OCR software is available so that text can be entered using the stylus.
In mid-December, the Toshiba dynaPad will be launched in Japan for 130,000 yen, which is about 950 euros. Price information for the Benelux is not yet known.
