Skype for Android lets users schedule calls
Microsoft has updated Skype for Android that allows users to schedule phone calls into their calendars. Skype does not make the calls automatically, but it does remind interlocutors of the appointment.
Scheduling a call works by clicking on a contact and then choosing the option ‘Schedule a call’ in the menu at the top right, Microsoft reports. The user can then place the call in a calendar app of their choice and invite the interlocutor.
In addition, Microsoft has built-in support for Office documents. After installing Office apps such as Word and Excel, Skype can open compatible files directly in the corresponding apps. Until now, users had to save the files and then open them.
