Microsoft reveals new features of February update for Xbox One
Microsoft will release an update for the Xbox One in February. The company says it mainly focuses on improving social functions. Xbox One Preview members will be able to see the new features such as the Gamerscore Leaderboard immediately.
In a blog post, Microsoft shows the improvements, which will be part of the update that will be implemented for everyone in February. Preview members can get started with the new features right now, and Xbox Beta app users can expect the updates next week.
Among other things, it becomes possible to see who is part of a Party, before a user joins the group himself. Also new is the Gamerscore Leaderboard, which can be found in the Achievement section of a user profile. The Gamerscore Leaderboard shows how many points players have accumulated against their friends. In addition, Microsoft promises to improve the Suggested Friends feature and there will be a revamped Avatar Store where gamers can dress up their digital character.
Microsoft says it has made many improvements in response to questions from users. This makes it possible to reorganize Pins on the Home screen. It should also be easier to follow Twitch broadcasts from friends and it is possible to hide games on the ready-to-install list.
