Noctua releases black versions of NH-U12A CPU coolers, fans and heatsink covers
Noctua has announced a new line of products within the black chromax line. These are black versions of the NF-A12x25 120mm fan, NH-U12A CPU cooler, and NA-HC7 and HC8 heatsinks. Noctua promises to match the quality of the brown fans.
The black versions of the cooler, fan and heatsink are identical to the well-known brown versions. The black NF-A12x25 120mm fan comes with a range of red, white, blue, green, gray, yellow and black anti-vibration pads. The NH-U12A features two black NF-A12x25 fans and a black coated heatsink. All other parts of the CPU cooler are also black. The NH-U12A is also suitable for the upcoming Intel LGA1700 socket.
Noctua comes with three different heatsink covers. The NA-HC8 in black and white, and the NH-HC7 in black with supplied replaceable inlays in black, white, red, blue, green and yellow. The heatsink covers are powder coated black. All parts are also interchangeable with their brown counterparts.
The company said in a press release that it had previously planned to release the chromax series, but that it took more time to match the performance of the brown fans. The Chromax series was delayed due to delivery problems due to the corona pandemic, according to Noctua. “But now they’re here,” the company says.
