Chris Schlerf, the head of the writing team for Mass Effect: Andromeda at developer BioWare, has left for Bungie. There he may immediately start working on the story of multiplayer shooter Destiny.

Schlerf announces his move himself on Twitter. BioWare may have been working on Mass Effect: Andromeda since 2012, and the game is slated to release in December this year. It is therefore likely that Schlerf’s work as a writer for the game is now over and he is free to start on other projects. Schlerf has also worked on Halo 4 at 343 Industries.

At Bungie in Seattle, the writer may get started with multiplayer shooter Destiny. That game will receive expansions, DLC and sequels in the coming years. Problems during Destiny’s development ultimately left the game with a more limited story than it was intended to be in the first place. Destiny 2 was recently delayed; the game was supposed to be released in 2016, but that is now 2017.
