Renders show new iPad Pro models with three rear cameras
Renders have surfaced that may show the design of iPad Pro models that Apple will release next year. These are two new versions of 11″ and 12.9″ respectively. Like recent iPhones, both variants have a ‘camera island’ with three cameras.
The appearance of the new iPad Pro models is very similar to the current versions. The main difference can be seen at the rear; the renders show a camera island with three lenses there. Details about the cameras are not yet available, but the configuration looks the same as with the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.
The renders were put online by iGeeksBlog and supplied by Twitter user OnLeaks. He designs renders based on CAD files. In 2018 he also released the design of the current iPad Pro models in this way. Those renders matched the final versions almost exactly.
According to iGeeksBlog, only the dimensions of the 11″ version are known. They would be approximately 248×178.6×5.9mm. The thickness is 7.8mm at the camera island. The dimensions are almost the same as the current iPad Pro models that are available in 2018. Presumably the same is true for the 12.9″ version.
Further details about the new iPad Pro models are not yet available. According to an earlier rumor, Apple will provide the tablets with a time-of-flight sensor. Website iGeeksBlog also talks about a glass back for the 12.9″ model, but states that this has not yet been confirmed. Apple is expected to release new iPad Pro models in the spring of 2020.
