VR version of Cities: Skylines coming this spring for Quest 2 headsets
Developer Fast Travel Games is working on Cities: VR, a VR version of Cities: Skylines. It concerns a different developer than the PC and console versions of the citybuilder. The game will be released in the spring for the Meta Quest 2 headset.
Cities: VR has a similar setup to the PC and console versions and lets players build their own city. Gamers use the Quest 2 controllers to build roads and other forms of infrastructure. They can also determine where homes and businesses will be built and where buildings such as police stations and hospitals will be located.
Based on the gameplay video below, it appears that Cities: VR will only consist of the base version of Cities: Skylines. The latter has been expanded with major and minor DLC packs since its release in 2015. Whether or not these will come later in Cities: VR is unknown. The PC and console versions of Cities: Skylines were created by Colossal Order and released by Paradox Games. A price has not been disclosed.
