Rocket League Sideswipe mobile game is available worldwide
Developer Psyonix has made the iOS and Android game Rocket League Sideswipe available worldwide. The game will be free-to-play, and unlike the PC and console versions, it takes place in a 2D environment.
The game has been since Monday night available for download worldwide in the app stores of both iOS and Android. In March, at the time of the game’s announcement, the Android version was already being tested in Australia and New Zealand. The full game was already released for those countries two weeks ago.
In Rocket League Sideswipe, just like the full version of Rocket League, the aim is for players to shoot the ball into the opponents’ goal with a car. The games last two minutes and are set in a side view, rather than the 3D environment of the original. You can play 2-on-2 or 1-on-1, both locally and online. Sideswipe works with touch controls to make the game more playable for smartphones.
