Assetto Corsa Competizione Update Adds Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR to PC Version
505 Games has released a new v1.8 update for Assetto Corsa Competizione. The PC version of the sim racing game has received support for DLSS and FSR supersampling techniques from Nvidia and AMD, among other things.
The full Steam patch notes show that 505 Games has ported Assetto Corsa Competizione to Unreal Engine 4.26.2. Added DLSS support for RTX video cards, and AMD FSR support is available for ‘all video cards’. Both functions can be used in VR and multi-screen render modes. The game also gets better, fifth-generation temporal anti-aliasing, which should provide better aliasing and clarity at a “moderate cost of performance.”
Furthermore, the update adds a new car as free DLC, the BMW M4 GT3. This car will be available as bonus content for the 2021 season. The sim racing game will also have an ‘Open Season’ sandbox mode. Various features are also being revised, changes made to the interface, and bugs fixed. The physics engine has also been improved; according to 505 Games, that engine now performs 400 calculations per second. This should ensure, among other things, more accurate force feedback when using a racing wheel. The v1.8 update is now available to all players of the game.
