Samsung confirms arrival of its first tablet with 5G
Samsung has confirmed that it is making a 5g version of its Galaxy Tab S6. The tablet has appeared on a site of the South Korean manufacturer. Earlier it appeared from an inspection that the tablet may be coming.
On a promo page for the ‘Galaxy Academy’, the Galaxy Tab S6 5G says it’s coming soon. The site allows Samsung’s South Korean customers to see what freebies they can get with product purchases. In addition to text, there is also a render of the tablet. It’s the same as the Wi-Fi and 4G versions of the same tablet, making it seem like the Tab S6 5G only differentiates itself by being able to connect to 5G networks.
Samsung may officially announce the tablet at CES electronics fair, which takes place in Las Vegas in two weeks, SamMobile guesses. The South Korean manufacturer often shows new mobile hardware at the fair. In addition to the tablet, Samsung also probably has a Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite ready for release.
It would be the first tablet with 5G support from Samsung. An inspection of the Bluetooth SIG already showed the name in October. It is unknown whether the tablet will also appear outside of South Korea. Samsung already released phones with 5G last year.
