Download Firmware Eminent EM7280 2.1.5

Eminent released new firmware for the EM7280 media player on Tuesday. This device is equipped with an RT1185DD chipset from Realtek and includes USB 3.0 and Gigabit LAN. Internally there is room for a 3.5″ hard drive and Wi-Fi is offered as an option. This release is based on the latest Realtel SDK and offers, among other things, the new user interface that we previously introduced for the EM7080 and EM7180. The complete changelog of this release looks like this:

Firmware version 2.1.5 adds the following features:

• Built with latest Realtek SDK (Casablanca+)
• Webkit/QT HTML5 compatible web browser added
• Added Adobe Flash LITE support
• YouTube XL added
• Added Facebook, Accuweather and several other Web apps
• Key tone added. The volume can be adjusted via the Settings – Other menu
• HDMI CEC options added. These are still under development and do not (yet) work with all TV sets
• BFTPD has been updated to version 3.6 for a small speed improvement
• Via ‘File’, ‘Sort by name’ and ‘Sort by date’ are now available as options
