Download Gimp 2.6.10
The Gimp Team has released version 2.6.10 of the open source photo editing program Gimp. The name Gimp is an abbreviation of GNU Image Manipulation Program. The software is available for various operating systems, including FreeBSD, Linux, Mac OS X and Solaris. While not officially supported by The Gimp Team, Jernej Simoncic is working on a installer that can be used under Windows. In version 2.6, especially the user interface has been improved. It was often criticized for opening so many windows. Furthermore, the first steps have been taken for the integration of gl, which should offer greater color depth and improved editing capabilities in the future. Version 2.6.10 is a maintenance release; it fixes some issues and has updated translations on board.
