LG monitor with 27 “-4k-ips panel and 1ms response time will be released in August
LG will release its UltraGear 27GN950 monitor in August. The screen has a 27 “ips panel with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a gray-to-gray response time of 1ms. The monitor also has a DisplayHDR 600 certification.
According to LG, the UltraGear 27GN950 is the first monitor to have a 4k ips panel with such a fast response time. The screen has a 144Hz refresh rate and is Nvidia G-Sync Compatible. The 10bit panel can display 98 percent of the dci-p3 color space and has a brightness of 400cd / m². LG does not mention the maximum peak brightness, but it will be at least 600cd / m², because the monitor has a DisplayHDR 600 certification, which requires such brightness.
The monitor stands on a height-adjustable base and at the back is a ring with RGB LEDs. The screen has two HDMI ports and one display port connection. The display uses VESA’s Display Stream Compression to display 4k images at 10bit at 144Hz through a Displayport 1.4 connection.
LG already announced the UltraGear 27GN950 monitor at the end of last year, but the screen was not on sale until now. According to LG, the monitor will be on sale in a number of countries from Tuesday. There are two stores in the Pricewatch that have the monitor in their range, but the screen is not yet available. The stores mention release dates in August and a price of 899 euros.
