OnlyFans wants users to delete sexually explicit material before December
OnlyFans requires account holders to remove sexually explicit material that is against the new rules by December 1. The site will, among other things, ban images of sexual acts from 1 October.
The date is stated in the new Acceptable Use Policy that the site has published, which differs from the current one in several respects. The date of December 1 can still change, the site says. The new policy makes it clear that nudity is still possible, but sexual acts or the suggestion thereof are no longer possible.
The new section has been given the serial number 5D and prohibits, among other things, showing real or simulated intercourse and masturbation, according to the conditions. Many of the platform’s other rules, including against displaying weapons, remain the same.
Last week it became clear that OnlyFans will ban a lot of sexually explicit material. OnlyFans says it will adjust the policy because banking partners and payment providers would put more and more pressure on the platform. The focus is shifting towards a community for musicians, fitness trainers and chefs. OnlyFans is best known as a site where people earn money by sharing sexual content with paying subscribers.
