Developer reveals new gameplay of Dark Souls-esque Black Myth: Wukong

Chinese developer Game Science released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming action RPG Black Myth: Wukong on Friday. The video also shows a boss fight with a large Chinese dragon.

Black Myth: Wukong was announced last year by developer Game Science and features gameplay very similar to the Dark Souls games, with tough battles and strong bosses. The developer already showed an extensive gameplay video of the alpha of the game last year. Now Game Science shows an ‘Unreal Engine 5 gameplay test’.

The action RPG is based on the 16th century book Journey to the West. The game follows the mythical figure Sun Wukong, a monkey with supernatural powers. This is reflected in the gameplay, where Sun Wukong takes out various enemies with a staff and takes on a Chinese dragon.

It is not yet known when the game will be released. The developer plans to release the game for PC and consoles, and is also considering streaming platforms if they can run the game smoothly.
