Rockstar Releases Red Dead Redemption DLC on September 21
Rockstar is releasing Liars and Cheats, the second downloadable expansion for western shooter Red Dead Redemption, on September 21. The DLC also includes the free Free Roam expansion, which was planned for later.
Rockstar is merging downloadable expansions Liars and Cheats and Free Roam. The Combined Expansion coming on September 21 as Liars and Cheats, for $10 (PlayStation 3) or 800 Microsoft Points (Xbox 360). The Free Roam expansion was originally supposed to be offered for free, but due to ‘the limitations on the number of free packs we can give away on a platform’, Free Roam is now with Liars and Cheats merged.
The main addition of the expansion is Stronghold, a new multiplayer mode in which two teams take turns attacking and defending. The expansion also includes horse racing that can be played in multiplayer and a new weapon, the Explosive Gun. In addition, the appearance of 15 characters from the game’s campaign is now also usable in multiplayer, and the game gets seven new Gang Hideouts and four new Hunting Grounds. The single player Undead Nightmare Pack is also planned for later this year.
