Download aTunes 2.1.0 RC

The release candidate of version 2.1.0 of aTunes has been released. This program written in Java allows audio files to be played and managed. It can handle mp3, ogg, wma, wav, flac, mp4, ra and rm, and is also capable of playing online radio stations. It can also rip CDs, edit tags and create playlists, and has a navigator that makes it easy to find artists, albums or genres. Where previously only a Windows installer, and the source code that could be run on Mac OS X and Linux, were available, from version 2.1.0 there is also a separate installer for Mac OS X, although not all possibilities for it work yet. The plug-ins and translations are also not yet available in this test version. If all goes well, the final will be released in a week and a half.

aTunes 2.1.0 Release Candidate

From now it’s available Release Candidate version of aTunes 2.1.0. This new version comes with important changes and bug fixes, and adds support for Mac OS X, although some features are still not available.

Plugins have been disabled for this version as application needs to improve some issues related to code quality to allow easily integration of plugins. This is a pending work.

All bugs found in this version can be reported as usual in our tracker at Sourceforge. Translators can send their updated language files to mailing list. The final version including bug fixes and updated translations will be released on October 1st.
