The latter is an addition to the Ambient Display function, in which the display is adjusted based on the time and the location of the device. OnePlus reports that the Hide Notch option is missing for now. It is not clear whether and when the option to add a black bar at the top of the screen will return.
The upgrade to Android 10 is not available to all users at the same time. OnePlus sends the new software to users in different phases, in order to be able to intervene in case of problems. OnePlus provided its OnePlus 7 devices with Android 10 in September and the upgrade will also appear in the second quarter of next year for the OnePlus 5 series.
