New studio presents Dark Souls-esque action RPG Mortal Shell

Cold Symmetry, a new game studio, has announced Mortal Shell. The action RPG has been in the works for two years now. The game is set in a fantasy setting with knights and monsters and is due to release in the third quarter for PC and consoles.

According to the description on the website, Mortal Shell is an in-depth action RPG that “tests your sanity and resilience in a shattered world.” The creators promise strategic and brutal combat. A beta will start soon, but when is not known. The trailer and screenshots show that Mortal Shell is a Dark Souls-like game. The game is in development for PC and for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

The game is made by Cold Symmetry. That is a new studio that little is known about. The studio was founded in 2017 by ‘a core team of four people’. It is unknown how many people are now working on Mortal Shell. In their own words, the team consists of veterans from the game industry.
