Edge gets option for vertical tabs and warns of password leaks
Microsoft has announced some new features for its Chromium-based Edge browser. For example, there will be a feature that allows users to orientate their tabs vertically. There will also be a function to check whether login details are part of a data breach.
The addition of vertical tabs is a feature that can help users easily manage and find the many open tabs, according to Microsoft. According to the company, Edge is the only browser where tabs on the side of the screen can be placed vertically.
In addition, an Edge function will be available that will notify users if their entered passwords are part of a data breach. This Password Monitor notifies you if the entered login details have been detected on the dark web. There will also be a Smart Copy function, where the rich web format is maintained if the copied content is pasted somewhere.
The Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser has been out since January 15, but the new features mentioned above are not immediately available. They are expected to be available in the Insider channels sometime in the coming months, although the Smart Copy feature should launch in those channels as early as next month.
