Competitive shooter Warface: Breakout coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Free-to-play game Warface has received a paid spin-off. The game is called Warface: Breakout and has been released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The competitive shooter costs 20 euros.
Warface: Breakout has been released on the PlayStation Store and on the Microsoft Store. The game is described by the makers as a classic shooter for two to ten players. The game is said to be optimized for controller operation.
Initially there are five playing fields in the game and the game has a 5vs5 mode in which teams have to place a bomb or disable it. More content would be added to the game later. It is not yet known whether Warface: Breakout will also come to PC.
The game was created by developer Allods Team. That studio is part of My.Games, the company that previously worked on the console ports of Warface. The original Warface game has been around since 2013 and was created by Crytek. The game is now in the hands of Blackwood Games. That free game includes microtransactions for weapons. The new paid game will only get cosmetic microtransactions.
