Download Firmware Synology Disk Station Manager 4.1 build 2668

Spread the love

Synology has released an update for Disk Station Manager version 4.1. Synology DSM is the management software that runs on several of the company’s NAS products. The Disk, Cube and Rack Stations offer more than just extra storage space. For example, backups of all clients on the network can be made and files can be downloaded via http, ftp, bittorrent, usenet and emule, so that, for example, energy-hungry PCs can switch off at night, while the download just comes in. Furthermore, audio and video files can be streamed over the network via the built-in iTunes server, a dynamic website can be hosted using PHP and MySQL and the device can act as a print server. Version 4.1 is only suitable for the NAS models ending in 09- or higher. In addition, some functionality is not possible on every model, such as support for VMware vSphere 5.0 VAAI. This update contains a small collection of bug fixes.

Changelog:

  • Fixed an issue where you may not see the files via Windows File Service (CIFS protocol) after you rename them.
  • Fixed an issue where you may not be able to delete files via Windows File Service.
  • Fixed an issue where the DiskStation may not enter safe mode when a power outage occurs.
  • Improved overall reliability of Windows File Service.
