Download Firmware Asus RT-AC66U 3.0.0.4.374.5517

Asus has released new firmware for the RT-AC66U. This router can provide clients with network access both wired and wireless. Wireless is supported up to the 802.11ac standard, with a speed of up to 1.3Gbit/s. There are also two USB ports, so that a printer or external storage can be shared over the network. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Security related issues:

• Fixed remote command execution vulnerability
• Fixed cross site scripting vulnerability
• Fixed parameters buffer overflow vulnerability
• Fixed XSS(Cross Site Scripting) vulnerability
• Fixed CSRF(Cross Site Request Forgery) vulnerability
• Added auto logout function. The timeout time can be configured in – Administration–> System
• Included patches related to network map. Thanks for Merlin’s contribution.
• Fixed password disclosure in source code when administrator logged in.
• Changed OpenSSL Library from 1.0.0.b to 1.0.0.d. Both OpenSSL versions are not vulnerable to heartbleed bug.

• Modified the 3G/LTE dongle setting process in quick internet setup wizard.
• Fixed the Cloud sync problem
• Fixed Parental control check box UI issues.
• Modified the FTP/ Samba permission setting UI
• Modified media server setting UI
• amba/ media server/ iTunes server name can be changed.
• Dual wan fail over now support fail back
• Fixed wake on lan magic packet sending issue.
• Fixed false alarm for samba and ftp permission.
• Fixed IPv6 related issues.
