Download Firmware Nest Learning Thermostat 4.3

Spread the love

Nest has released new firmware for its Learning Thermostat. Version 4.3 includes improvements to auto-schedule, which should yield additional savings. Furthermore, the time and outside temperature can now be displayed by turning the ring and a system test has been added. You don’t have to do anything to install the new software, every thermostat that is connected to the internet will be automatically updated this week.

What’s in the 4.3 software update.

Auto-Schedule was the first feature we thought of for the Nest Learning Thermostat. We knew most people didn’t program their thermostats – it’s just too complicated. So Auto-Schedule just learns the temperatures you like. No programming necessary. It’s why 95% of Nest Thermostats have schedules and it’s one of the main reasons Nest is a “learning” thermostat. So we’ve never stopped working on Auto-Schedule, using all the data we’ve gathered from people adjusting their Nest Thermostats across more than 130 countries.

And now Auto-Schedule is getting better.

The 4.3 software update for the Nest Thermostat fine-tunes our algorithms to save more energy and make life with Nest even simpler. Every Wi-Fi connected Nest Thermostat will automatically get new software over the next week. Here’s what it looks like:

  • Enhanced Auto-Schedule – Auto-Schedule can now help you save up to 6% more on your heating and cooling bills by learning new schedules quickly and adapting to changes better. So when your schedule shifts – like when summer’s over and the kids are back at school – Nest can now catch on faster that the temperature adjustments you’re making are part of a new pattern rather than just one-off changes. • Quick View – One of our biggest customer requests has always been to show the time and outside temperature on the thermostat. So now we’ve made that info – plus the basics of what your thermostat is up to – a lot easier to reach. Push the ring once and you’ll see weather, outdoor temp and humidity. Turn the ring and you’ll see a quick summary of everything you need to know, like how much energy you used yesterday or what’s next on your schedule. Instead of having to scroll through settings and menus, all the info you need for the day will be right on the display. Learn more >
  • System Test – To make sure your system is running – heating when you turn on heat, cooling when you turn on the air conditioning – your thermostat can run you through a System Test. It’ll walk you through basic functions so you can spot and solve any issues. The Nest app will also be updated this week to include System Test. Learn more >
  • With this update we’re also adding time and weather support for a lot more countries worldwide. The easiest way to see if you’ve gotten the new software is to check Energy History or just to push the ring – if you see the Quick View weather, outdoor temp and humidity come up, you’re all set. If not, wait a few days – the new software is on its way. If you haven’t gotten the update by the end of the week, read this.
