Download Mozilla Thunderbird 16.0

The Mozilla Foundation has released Thunderbird version 16. Mozilla Thunderbird is an open source client for mail and newsgroups, with features such as support for several mail and news accounts, a junk mail filter, spell checker and a customizable appearance. New in version 16 is that updates are installed in the background without bothering the user, and attachments can now also be sent via box.com. In addition, there are of course the necessary bug fixes and performance improvements implemented and security updates applied.

• We have now added box.com to the list of online storage services that are available for use with Thunderbird Filelink
• Silent, background updates. Thunderbird will now download and apply updates in the background allowing you to start quickly the next time Thunderbird starts up.

• If you are unable to view content for your RSS feeds in the Wide View Layout, you can switch to Classic View, or you may need to disable the Lightning Calendar add-on. In both cases, you’ll need to restart Thunderbird (see 531397).
