Leaker shows Samsung Galaxy Ring charging case
Leaker Ice Universe has shared an image showing the Samsung Galaxy Ring's charging case. The image shows that the ring in the middle of the case can be charged. It is not clear what the battery capacity of the case is.
Ice Universe shared the image on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The leaker did not mention any specifications or other details. The image shows how the ring can be placed centrally in a silver-colored box. In the middle of that box there appears to be a raised island with suspected contact points for charging the Galaxy Ring's battery.
It is not the first time that the Samsung Galaxy Ring has been in the news. Samsung already confirmed the existence and development of the wearable earlier this year opposite The Verge. The Galaxy Ring would be able to detect users' breathing, heart rate and movements, among other things.
The Galaxy Ring is rumored to be able to work together with the Galaxy Watch or work separately from the smartwatch series to provide the user with health information. The Ring will be available in different sizes and colors, including silver, black and gold. Samsung says the device is still in development and final specifications, including battery life and design, have not yet been finalized. The South Korean manufacturer had indicated at the beginning of June that the wearable should be released in August.
