Samsung unveils Galaxy Watch FE for 219 euros
Samsung unveils the Galaxy Watch FE. The smartwatch has largely the same specifications as the Galaxy Watch5 from 2022. The tech company will release the smartwatch sometime this summer for a suggested retail price of 219 euros.
With the Galaxy Watch FE, Samsung focuses in their own words on users who want health features. For example, the smartwatch is equipped with the BioActive sensor, including an optical heart rate sensor and a bioelectric impedance meter for analyzing body shape. The watch further supports sleep and blood pressure analysis.
In terms of further specifications, the watch is very similar to the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch4. There is one size available of the Galaxy Watch FE, namely 40mm. This has a 1.2″ AMOLED screen and two physical push buttons on the side. The smartwatch is powered by an Exynos W920 SoC with a 1.18GHz clock frequency. There is 1.5GB of memory and 16GB of storage space available. The battery has a capacity of 247mAh. The Galaxy Watch FE uses the 'Wear OS Powered by Samsung' operating system with the One UI 5 Watch interface.
The smartwatch supports Bluetooth 5.3 and there will also be an LTE variant. It is not clear what the latter version will cost. The device has an aluminum casing and is available in black, rose gold and silver.
