Renders show Google Pixel Watch 3 XL with larger 1.45″ screen
OnLeaks has published renders of the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 3 XL smartwatch. The watch will have a larger screen than the regular Pixel Watch 3. The smartwatch is expected to be released later this year.
The Google Pixel Watch 3 XL will have a screen diagonal of 1.45″, reports well-known leaker OnLeaks in collaboration with the Android Headlines website. The smart watch will therefore be larger than the 'regular' Pixel Watch 3, of which OnLeaks recently showed renders. This smaller smartwatch should have a 1.20″ screen, just like its predecessor. This would give the XL model a display that is approximately twenty percent larger.
This also translates into the dimensions; the XL variant must be 45mm high and wide, while the regular model will again have a 41mm size. The wristbands used on the XL model are also wider than before. That means XL bands are not compatible with regular Pixel Watches and vice versa.
The design of the XL variant is similar to the regular Pixel Watch 3. It has a slightly thicker design than its predecessors, but no major design changes compared to the first two Pixel Watches. The Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 3 XL will therefore have a round screen with 'curved' glass and a crown on the right.
Google is expected to announce its new Pixel Watch watches at a hardware event later this year. The exact date on which they will appear on the market is not yet known.
