Download 7-Zip 16.03

Version 16.03 of 7-Zip has been released. This open source archiver can handle a wide range of compression formats, including zip, cab, rar, arj, lzh, chm, gzip, bzip2, z, tar, cpio, rpm, deb and of course the proprietary 7z. Furthermore, the software is able to open iso files and nsis installation packages. New in version 16 is that the program can now handle large multi-file zip files of type .z01, .z02 type. Previously it could handle .zip.001, .zip.002. The following improvements have also been made in this version:

What’s new after 7-Zip 16.02:

• Installer and SFX modules now use some protection against DLL preloading attack.
• Some bugs were fixed in 7z, NSIS, SquashFS and RAR5 code.
