Blizzard Announces New World of Warcraft Expansion April 19

Blizzard will announce a new expansion for the mmo game World of Warcraft on April 19. The studio will share details about upcoming Hearthstone expansions in March, and the company will also show a new Warcraft mobile game in May.

Blizzard reports in a blog post that the current Shadowlands expansion for World of Warcraft is nearing its end with the recent Eternity’s End content update. The next expansion will be announced in a month, but Blizzard isn’t sharing any hints or details about it. “We’re excited to show you what we’ve been working on and where your adventures in Azeroth will take you,” the studio wrote.

Details will be shared on the first three new Hearthstone expansions coming this year on March 15. After that, the company will “take a deeper look” at the plans for Hearthstone in 2022. Blizzard also writes that development of a mobile game in the Warcraft universe is “progressing well”. Details on this will follow in May.

Eternity’s End is the final content update for the current Shadowlands expansion.
