Apple makes Golden Master Mountain Lion available to developers
Apple has made the Golden Master of Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion available to developers. The final update to Apple’s operating system will be available this month in the Mac App Store for about $20.
The Mountain Lion Golden Master is build number 12A269 and has a size of 4.34GB. In addition, registered developers can have the Golden Master of Xcode 4.4. As usual, Apple has asked developers to prepare their apps for the new update and send them to Apple for approval. For example, the Cupertino company is trying to ensure that many applications are up-to-date at the time of release and that users are not inconvenienced by the update.
With Mountain Lion, announced in February, Apple continues in the direction it was taken with Lion and therefore many new features will be inherited from the iOS mobile operating system. For example, Mountain Lion will include a Notification Center that warns users about updates to applications, as happens in iOS. Mountain Lion also offers a Game Center and system-wide integration with social networks. Mountain Lion, like its predecessor, will be available in the Mac App Store.
