Samsung shows curved Odyssey Ark monitor that can also be used vertically

Samsung has announced the curved Odyssey Ark monitor. This is a 55” display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and offers 4k resolution. It is possible to use the Odyssey Ark both horizontally and vertically.

Information regarding the price or release period of the Odyssey Ark has not been disclosed. The monitor comes with a stand that makes it possible to place the curved screen both vertically and horizontally. According to a press release from Samsung, from which The Verge quotes, among others, the monitor is suitable for various purposes, specifically mentioning gaming and editing.

When the monitor is placed in the vertical position, get users a number of multiview options, making it possible to display various screens in stacks. For example, it should be possible to play games and make video calls at the same time. Furthermore, the monitor comes with a wireless rotary knob to adjust the lighting and the interface.

In August, Samsung already released a similar curved monitor, the Odyssey Neo G9, but it had a smaller size at 49 ”. It also did not have the ability to rotate the screen. The Neo G9 cost 2,199 euros at launch.
