LG presents three midrange smartphones
LG has presented three midrange smartphones ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. The most luxurious of these is the Q60, with a camera with a wide-angle lens on the back in addition to a regular camera.
In addition to those two cameras, the Q60 also has a camera that works as a depth sensor for blurring the background in portrait photos, LG says. The manufacturer is also brief in the details about the new midrange smartphones. Exact processors, prices and release dates are missing, as is information about many of the specs.
The Q60 and K50 have the same size and also the same 19.5:9 LCD with a diagonal of 6.26″ and a resolution that LG refers to as ‘hd+’; presumably 1560×720 pixels. This brings the screen to around 275 pixels per inch. The K50 does not have a wide-angle lens, but only a primary camera and camera that is used as a depth sensor. Both phones have a 3500mAh battery.
The K40 is a smaller phone with an 18:9 display of 5.7″. All three phones have an octa-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2GHz, but which one is unknown. The K40 has a 3000mAh battery. All three devices have a fingerprint scanner on the back.
LG will probably release more information about the phones at the Mobile World Congress telecom fair, which starts Monday in Barcelona. The naming of the phones is different; the predecessor of the Q60 is called Q7 and came out last summer for 350 euros.
