Sony increases PlayStation Plus online storage from 10GB to 100GB

Sony has increased the server storage capacity available to PlayStation Plus subscribers for games saves from 10GB to 100GB. The company will implement the change sometime in early February.

Sony announces the expansion of the amount of cloud storage for PlayStation Plus customers on its PlayStation blog. From the beginning of February, users can bet 100GB for savegames, where it is currently 10GB.

Online storage allows subscribers to save game progress on the web rather than locally, so they can pick up where they left off on a friend’s PlayStation 4, for example. With the PlayStation 3 and the Vita, there was initially a maximum of 150MB available, in 2012 this was increased to 1GB.

Sony is also announcing that For Honor and Hitman: The Complete First Season will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers starting February 5. For the PS3 these are Divekick and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot and for the Vita Gunhouse and Rogue Aces. Sony reminds PlayStation Plus users with a Vita and PS3 that no new games will follow after March 8. Games already owned by the users will be kept.
