Lenovo Yoga C730 convertible with 15.6″ OLED screen costs $1649
Lenovo will introduce the Yoga C730 convertible with 15.6″ OLED screen at CES. Samsung’s AMOLED panel has a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. The convertible should be released in April for a price starting at $ 1649.
Lenovo provides the new Yoga C730 with Intel Whiskey Lake processors, which are CPUs with a TDP of 15 watts. The model we saw at CES featured a Core i7-8565U. Lenovo also puts up to 16GB of RAM in the laptop and an SSD of up to 512GB. Lenovo does not talk about Nvidia GPUs, which is striking because the current Yoga 730 is equipped with GTX 1050 video cards.
The Yoga C730 appears to be largely the same as the Yoga 730, except for the OLED screen, of which variants are in the Pricewatch with a price from 1022 euros. Those cheaper models have an IPS screen with a full-HD resolution.
The price for the entry-level model is $ 1649, but what specifications buyers will receive is not yet clear. Lenovo only mentions a dollar price, but will not sell the device in the US. The 2-in-1 with OLED panel will be released in Europe and should be available around April.
Lenovo is the fourth manufacturer to announce a laptop with a 15.6 “OLED screen at CES. HP previously announced an OLED variant of the Specter x360 15, Dell puts an OLED panel in its XPS 15, G5, G7 and Alienware m15 and Razer is coming with a variant of its Blade laptop with an OLED screen.Lenovo is the only manufacturer to have mentioned a price.
