Asus has announced a new notebook in its ZenBook S series that, according to the manufacturer, has the thinnest screen bezels yet in a laptop. The bezels on the side of the 13.9-inch display are 2.5 mm thick.

The bezel on the top of the new ZenBook UX392 is also very tight. That’s why Asus has made the edge in the middle a bit higher, to create space for the webcam. This tab should also make it easier to open the laptop when it is closed. Although the screen diagonal of the UX392 is 0.6″ larger than that of its predecessor, it is the same size as the previous model due to the smaller screen bezels. The screen is still a full-HD IPS panel with a maximum brightness of 400 cd /m2.

Asus supplies the UX392 with a Core i5-8265U or i7-8565U from Intel’s new Whiskey Lake generation. The memory goes up to 16GB, the PCI-e SSD has a maximum capacity of 1TB and the GPU is a maximum of a GeForce MX150 GPU. The touchpad has a built-in fingerprint scanner and the backlit keyboard has just a little more travel than that of the UX391, according to Asus.

Asus has placed a usb-a port on the right side, while on the left two usb-c connections can be found that support the usb 3.1 gen2 protocol. The battery has a capacity of 50Wh. When the new ZenBook will be on sale and what it will cost is not yet known.
