Nubia presents Red Magic gaming smartphone with fan
Nubia presented the Red Magic 3 at its own event, a gaming smartphone with a built-in fan. According to the manufacturer, this can make the processor 4-5 degrees cooler by blowing at 14,000 revolutions per minute.
The fan uses 0.135W of power, Nubia writes. In addition to the fan, the phone also has a heat pipe to dissipate heat from the processor and GPU. That processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, with Adreno 640 GPU. Nubia adds 6GB or 8GB lpddr4x memory, depending on the version.
The screen is a 6.65″ OLED screen with 2340×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. Many gaming smartphones have a display that can display more frames per second than regular smartphone screens, which go up to 60Hz.
The battery has a capacity of 5000mAh and can charge with a maximum of 30W. Such a battery capacity is more common, although there are many more smartphones with a capacity of 4000mAh. The phone is also large and heavy because of this. The dimensions are 171.7×78.5×9.65mm and the weight is 215g. There has been a rumor about the smartphone before.
Nubia will release the Red Magic Mars 3 in China this week and the device will come to Europe later in May. A euro price has not yet been announced. In China, the cheapest version with 64GB of storage costs 2700 yuan, currently converted about 385 euros. The most expensive version that is now available with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage costs 3500 yuan, about 465 euros. Nubia has been selling its Red Magic Mars gaming smartphones through its own website in the Benelux since February.
