ASN Bank, Regiobank and SNS suffer from internet banking malfunction – update

Customers of ASN Bank, Regiobank and SNS, three brands of De Volksbank, have been experiencing problems with internet banking since Tuesday morning. The mobile app cannot be used at the banks on Tuesday afternoon.

Allestoringen provides an inventory of complaints on social media from SNS customers. The outage started around 9am Tuesday morning. SNS confirmed the malfunction and announced that both the website and the app were not or only poorly accessible. Also the customer services of ASN Bank and regional bank informed customers that there was indeed a malfunction.

In the afternoon at least the website of SNS reachable again for internet banking via My SNS. Internet banking did not yet work via the app, users reported. “The app is partially fault-free again, but not yet completely. We are doing our best to solve this as soon as possible,” according to the bank’s web help desk. The site was also working at the Regiobank on Tuesday afternoon, but the app was not yet.

ASN Bank, Regiobank and SNS are brands of De Volksbank. It is unknown what caused the malfunction. On April 13, SNS also had to deal with a malfunction.

Update, 20.19: A spokesperson for De Volksbank says that the malfunction has been solved.
