The first release candidate of OBS Studio version 30.1 has been released. Open Broadcaster Software Studio is an open source and cross-platform software intended for recording and streaming video from one or more sources, such as a webcam, microphone, media files and the desktop. It is important to know that from version 30 onwards, support for Ubuntu 20.04, Qt 5 and FFmpeg version 4.4 or older has been discontinued. The changelog for this release can be found below.

RC1 Changes

  • Fixed a crash in Beta 1-3 when streaming with SRT
  • Fixed an issue in Beta 1-3 where settings would not save correctly under certain circumstances when changing services
  • Fixed an issue in Beta 1-3 where the Source Toolbar would not update after deleting a scene item
