Rumor: Rise of the Tomb Raider isn’t coming to PS4 until late 2016

Rise of the Tomb Raider won’t be coming to PlayStation 4 until late 2016 and the game would be available at a discounted price. Until then, the game will remain an exclusive title for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. At least that is what The Know claims based on an anonymous source.

If the rumor is true, PlayStation 4 owners will have to wait a full year after its original release for the game to come to their consoles: Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released for Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10 this year. To mitigate this, Square Enix would lower the price to $40. It is not clear what will happen with a possible release for the PlayStation 3, PC or SteamOS.

The rumor comes from The Know. This YouTube channel has a mixed reputation for rumors. The Know’s message that Microsoft would buy Silent Hills turned out to be nonsense, but the channel did have accurate details about the arrival of Dark Souls III before the game’s announcement at E3.
