Microsoft promises that it will soon be paying more attention to improving the mobile version of Windows 10. Sometime next month, developers will shift their focus from the desktop to the mobile version of the OS.

Greg Sullivan, who works at Microsoft as a marketing director, made similar statements to PC World. In recent times, the company has given the desktop version of Windows 10 the most attention. However, starting next month, the focus should shift to the mobile version of the operating system. Microsoft is releasing the desktop version of Windows 10 next month, likely giving employees more time to spend on the mobile version.

Starting early or mid next month, Microsoft will start fixing the bugs that are still in the mobile version of Windows 10, and adding new features. Because the desktop and mobile versions of the OS are based on the same source code, developers can easily be transferred. Sullivan did not say when Windows 10 for mobiles will be released.

Windows 10 for desktops is due to be released on July 29. Windows 7 and Windows 8 users will have the option to update for free. It is already possible for them to reserve a copy of Windows 10.
