A trial version of Windows 10 for Xbox One will not be released before the summer. That’s according to a tweet from Phil Spencer, the boss of Microsoft’s Xbox division. The exact features of the Windows 10 version for Xbox are not yet known.

In response to a question from another tweeter wrote Spencer that the test version of Windows 10 for the console will be released ‘post-summer’. That makes it likely that the test version will be released this year, probably sometime in the fall. When the final version of Windows 10 will be released for the Xbox One is not yet known.

Windows 10 will be the standard operating system of the Xbox One, but the exact features are not yet known. What is clear is that there will be the possibility to stream games from an Xbox One console to a Windows 10 PC, and that Xbox One and Windows 10 gamers can compete against each other.
