Call of Duty: Black Ops III gets dedicated servers
Developer Treyarch confirms that the Windows version of Call of Duty: Black Ops III uses dedicated servers for all ranked matches. The game also gets a slider with which the field of view, or the field of view, can be set.
Cesar “pcdev” Stastny, who works as director of development at Treyarch on Call of Duty: Black Ops III, said: confirmed. The dedicated servers and the field of view slider for setting the field of view are not new; At the request of fans, Treyarch included support for dedicated servers in 2010’s Call of Duty: Black Ops and its successor Black Ops II.
Publisher Activision gave a first impression of the new edition of Call of Duty earlier this month. Notably, the multiplayer portion of Black Ops III allows players to run around walls, just like in 2014’s Titanfall. Additionally, in the game’s campaign, players can choose to have a female protagonist. According to Treyarch, the story is ‘gender neutral’ and can therefore be played from both a male and female perspective. It is not the first time that players with a female character can go out. That was also possible in Call of Duty: Ghosts, although that option was only available in multiplayer.
BlackOps3 PC will use 100% dedicated servers for all ranked matches. (Same as previous BlackOps PC titles.) This is how we do it.
